New Robot Installed

Further to our announcement in March this year, Newfield are pleased to announce that their new XYZ gantry style robot welding system is now fully operational as shown in our factory photograph. Full specification as follows:-

Motoman ArcSystem XYZ gantry robotic welding system consisting of:- XYZ Gantry X = 7900mm, Y = 1800mm, Z = 1200mm NX 100 Robot control system UP6 Robot with seam finding 2 off, HSB-5000 - 5 tonnne manipulators which can rotate components up to 2.4 metre complete with sliding tailstocks which can accomodate fixtures from 0 to 8 metres long. Kemppi PRO 5200 welding package - 520 Amp synergic, water cooled power source. Moto Tac Automatic torch calibration system

Newfield expands it's forming capacity with a new Bystronic Pressbrake Edwards Pearson. Edwards Pearson, the UK subsidiary of the Bystronic Group, was the recent outright winner in the "Best Forming/Fabrication Machine Tool" category at the Metalworking Production International Machine Tool Industry Awards.

Bystronic's pressbrake Edwards Pearson PR IPC (developed and manufactured by Bystronics' subsidiary Beyeler Blechbearbeitungsmaschinen GmbH) incorporates an integrated process control (IPC) measurement system. The IPC series use pressure reference bending technology with dynamic crowning to fulfill the high demands for the production of sheet metal parts and for the most varied of applications; both for light gauge sheet metal and heavy gauge plates.

Used in conjunction with the pressbrake pressure reference features, the IPC software measures the material thickness and spring-back during the bend cycle, and adjusts to provide 'perfect' angles every time.
