New CNC Pressbrake and New Robot Welder installed and commissioned at Newfield.
The addition of these new machines encances our existing range and increases our available capacity.
- New 50 Tonne CNC Pressbrake - Bystronic Xcel 50/1600
- New Robot Welder - Motoman MA1400/DX100/RM2 - 500kg Manipulator.

Work commences on
laying the concrete base for the proposed 2500 sq metre factory
extension.

New Hi- Speed 5
KW Trumpf Laser commences production.
The new machine is a
Trumpf Truelaser 3050 (L016) with a 3 metre x 1.5 metre bed with single
head technology.

December 2010
New Hi-Speed 5 KW
Trumpf laser arrives at Newfield for installation and commissioning.
November 2010
EDI (Electronic
data interchange) fully operational at Newfield
EDI is now fully
operational at Newfield for all major customers with EDI capability.
Customer schedules are now processed on the same day that they are
received, resulting in more accurate and up to date information being
processed by our new MRP system.
This in turn speeds up
the whole manufacturing process resulting in reduced lead times and
improved delivery performance.
October 2010
New CNC
Pressbrake commissioned at Newfield
This new top of
the range Bystronic Xpert 320 tonne x 4 metre, 7 axis, CNC press brake
is now fully operational at Newfield.
The new machine increases our current range to 7 CNC press brakes in
total, ranging from 50 tonnes x 2 metre bed length to 400 tonnes x 5.1
metre bed length.
This complements our current range and will improve our efficiency and
also increase capacity in this area. |

new equipment:
- Top of the range
Bystronic Xpert 320 Tonne x 4 metre, 7 axis, CNC pressbrake. To be
commissioned at Newfield October 2010.
- Latest Hi- Speed Laser
- Trumpf Truelaser 3050 (L016) 5KW, 3 metres x 1.5 metre bed. Single
head technology, to be commissioned December 2010/January 2011.

Newfield go live
with new state of the art computer system.
Epicor Vantage ERP
(Enterprise Resource Planning) software supplied by Epicor Software
Corporation, a global leader in providing ERP solutions.
The new software has been
tailored specifically for Newfield and includes E.D.I. (Electronic Data
Interchange) for handling customer schedules.

Newfield Fabrications
became a member of the "Advancing UK Aerospace Defence and Security
Industries" or A|D|S as it is now known on the 1st October this year.

Weapon Launchers
on target
In September 2009,
Newfield Fabrications successfully won a contract to supply
fabrications for Weapon Launchers to a company that will be supplying
them to the German Airforce for use on the Eurofighter.
