In 2003, we acquired Crewe Stove Enamelling, which gave us new capacity in pre-treatments including acid pickling and zinc phosphating, as well as powder coating.

Acid pickling removes the oxide layer caused by the laser cutting process and ensures good adhesion of the powder to the component. Our powder-coated components are guaranteed more than 1,000 hours salt spray resistance.
Newfield is one of the few powder coating companies in the UK that include acid pickling as part of their pre-treatment process.
