Pro-Matic International Ltd.

Newfield were approached by Pro-matic International Ltd to become a supplier to them for the main fabricated frame assembly on one of their popular sporting target clay launching machines which are used for clay pigeon shooting.

Overview
Pro-Matic International Ltd. is a manufacturer of sporting target clay launching and have experienced year on year growth rates of between 15% and 20% for the last six years. To maintain this growth rate they needed to sub-contract some of their in-house fabrication work.

Background
All frame assemblies manufactured in-house but have capacity constraints due to increases in volumes. Current method of manufacture is to buy laser cut parts in, fabricate and machine frames in-house, and then sends frames for powder coating prior to final assembly.

Objective
To supply powder coated fabricated frame assemblies on an on-going scheduled basis to suit customer requirements.

Our approach
Newfield’s engineering department to “reverse engineer” and create manufacturing drawings from sample frame supplied and to design and manufacture Jigs and fixtures for robotic welding and CNC machines.

Benefits
Newfield have become a “One stop shop” for Pro-Matic, eliminating unnecessary handling time with our capability of laser cutting, CNC bending, Robotic Welding, CNC Machining, and powder coating operations all being carried out in-house at Newfield.
